BlackBerry 10 Phones Still on Track for Carrier Testing this Summer
During RIM’s Year-End and Fourth Quarter Results for Fiscal 2012, CEO Thorsten Heins, announced that BlackBerry 10 phones are still on track for carrier testing this summer. Additionally, they are still on track to officially release the first BlackBerry 10 phone by the latter half of 2012.
Previously, RIM announced developers attending the BlackBerry 10 Jam conference (during BlackBerry World) will receive a BlackBerry 10 prototype developer device. This will help to ensure developers can begin developing for the BlackBerry 10 platform before it officially releases.
Thorsten Heins did not give further information on BlackBerry 10 operating system, except to acknowledge he’s personally witnessed the progress. Heins says the BlackBerry 10 operating system is beautiful, impressive, and has much potential.
