Developers just recently received the BlackBerry 10 Developer prototype if they attended the BlackBerry 10 Jam conference in Orlando, Florida. The Dev Alpha has a modified PlayBook OS, but currently has no phone or messaging functionality. Although, the resources are there, the front-end has been closed by RIM.That means, people are capable of calling the Dev Alpha, and you can hear it ring, but cannot answer. However, we’ve learned a super easy way to do so that will make you wonder how you didn’t think of it yourself. Use a Bluetooth headset! By pairing a Bluetooth headset or connecting the Dev Alpha via Bluetooth to your car, you can make and answer phone calls. So there you go developers, if you need to test incoming and outgoing calls, just connect the Dev Alpha to a Bluetooth enabled device and have at it.Thanks for the tip Nick!
