Since Thorsten Heins became the new CEO, he has been very clear his plans to restructure RIM and practically start new, with new people and new ideas. We’ve seen how many high executives have already been replaced so it shouldn’t be a surprise for anyone to know that Research in Motion is planning a huge restructuring that may result in cutting 2,000 jobs, that’s 12% of the company’s workforce. These will be announced sometime around June 1st. As sad as it is to see people lose their jobs, we have to admit that it opens up new doors for RIM to reach those new goals they have established.via Business Insider
